Keyboard or mouse input does not respond
Click directly inside the Cricket 07 browser canvas after the game loads. Browser security policies require a direct click inside the embedded game frame before keyboard events (Arrow Keys, W, A, S, D, Enter) are delivered to the runtime.
No sound or muted commentary
- Click inside the game canvas so the browser unlocks its
AudioContextandc07-ringAudioWorklet. - Check the Sound on / Mute toggle in the control bar below the Cricket 07 browser player.
- Note that if you selected Lite Edition, voice commentary is intentionally omitted to save over 300 MB of download size; choose Regular Edition if you want full match commentary.
WebGPU adapter or initialization error
If the Cricket 07 browser player stops with a WebGPU message, verify that you are using a current desktop version of Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge, enable Use graphics acceleration when available in browser system settings, and restart the browser.
Download stalls during OPFS unpacking
Keep the cricket-07.org tab active in the foreground during the first-time download. Background tabs can be throttled by the browser while decompressing large .gz chunks. Because the installer saves each verified file to OPFS as it completes, refreshing and clicking Play again will resume from the remaining files.
