Save through the in-game Cricket 07 menus

Whenever you create a player profile, customize rosters, or save an Ashes tour or tournament inside Cricket 07, use the game’s standard save screens. Wait for the in-game save confirmation to finish before closing or refreshing your browser tab.

How /opfs/userdata persistence works

The Cricket 07 browser runtime mounts two separate directories inside your browser’s Origin Private File System (OPFS):

  • /opfs/c07game: Holds the read-only unpacked game archives (data.gob, stadium packs, audio banks, and .vp6 movies).
  • /opfs/userdata: Holds your personal Cricket 07 profiles, saved tournaments, settings, and custom rosters.

Because /opfs/userdata is stored locally on your disk under your current browser profile, your progress remains available the next time you open cricket-07.org on the same computer and browser.

Keeping saves safe when resetting game files

If you ever need to re-download the game archives—for example, when switching from Lite Edition to Regular Edition or fixing an interrupted download—use the Clear downloaded files button in Player options. That action only removes /opfs/c07game and the service-worker cache, leaving /opfs/userdata untouched.

Browser storage boundaries

OPFS storage belongs to cricket-07.org within your specific desktop browser profile. Incognito/private windows discard OPFS storage when closed, and running your browser’s full “Clear site data” command will remove both installed game assets and saved profiles.

Browser requirements and OPFS storage behavior follow the WebGPU and WebAssembly runtime architecture. Check this player’s keyboard layout and the in-game control settings before practicing.
